Helpful Roofing Tips

Why is replacing my roof such an urgent matter?

It’s important to act quickly: most insurance companies set a time-frame. If you have not had a storm damage inspection or would like a chance to learn more about Owens General Contractor, we are happy to provide a free no obligation home inspection for your roof and other parts of the home that may also be affected.  We will work with your insurance company to insure all damage covered by your policy is included.  Insurance companies will process claims up to 1 year from the storm date.

Are you local and able to provide a warranty or traveling chasing storms?

“Storm chasers” come and go, some good, some not so good.  Owens General Contractor is a local contractor here to stay.  We do quality work and will be here to service any warranty issues that may arise down the road.

Are you licensed & bonded?

We are a General Contractor, licensed, bonded, and insured in the State of Tennessee and very proud of our “A” rating with the Better Business Bureau.  We are happy to provide references from hundreds of previous satisfied homeowners who will visit with you about the experience they’ve had with our company.​

Should I have an inspection even though I don’t think I have any damage?

Many homeowners are unaware of the extent of the storm damage​. Based on our experience, we can determine the significance of damage beyond the obvious.  Most homeowners we have helped initially did not know the extent of the storm damage to their home.  With all of these roofs, we found all damage covered by the homeowners policy and all roofs were paid for by the their insurance company.
